Give the gift of your time!
Are you interested in getting more involved with the Friends on an ongoing basis?
The Friends of Royal Alberta Museum Society (FRAMS) was started in 1982 by a group of volunteers passionate about supporting the then Provincial Museum of Alberta. Volunteerism has, and continues to be, an important aspect of our organization and we are always willing to welcome new friends interested in building a dynamic community in support of the Royal Alberta Museum!
There are a few ways you can get involved with us, depending on how involved you want to be. We have a group of general volunteers that help out on an ad hoc basis – typically for day of event stuff. Deeper engagement comes from joining one of our standing committees and helping to plan and carry out key aspects of FRAMS such as Membership, Fund Development, Communication or Events.
Each committee is chaired by a member of the Board of Directors. Committees meet with varying frequency, as determined by their current projects and committee members, but would generally involve a commitment of approx. 4 hours per month.
By volunteering your time and skills you have the opportunity to gain valuable experience, connect with an engaged community, help guide the future direction of FRAMS, and support the Royal Alberta Museum.
If you are interested, please submit a candidate statement stating your skills and interest in volunteering with FRAMS to firstname.lastname@example.org.
