Linda will speak at each dinner about the food, where each cuisine originates, and the organization of each authentic meal. Please join us for this first dinner of our 2018-19 season!

Time: 6 pm
Place: Tiffin: India’s Fresh Kitchen
Address: 5135 Ellerslie Road, Edmonton T6X 1X2

Tiffin is a word with Anglo-Indian origins. When the British arrived in India, their custom of afternoon tea was merged with the Indian practice of having a light meal or snack in the late afternoon. This became known as tiffin, from the British word tiffing, which was slang for taking a little drink. The word has come to refer to any kind of light meal and the container that is used to transport cooked meals. Tiffin: India’s Fresh Kitchen is bringing the tiffin experience to Edmonton.
Join us for this experience that transforms what was once a light meal into a dinner of many tastes and introduces us to the endless combinations that encompasses Indian cuisine.
Please note the appetizers will be served and shared family style, while dinner will be self-service. We are unable to accommodate food sensitivities and there are no alternative vegetarian options for the meat dishes.
Tickets for this event are sold on a first come, first served basis. You may reserve yours now on Eventbrite or by phoning the FRAMS to reserve tickets, but your reservation is not confirmed until payment is received.
